About Me

I am passionate about creating immersive stories that stay with readers long after finishing.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Kevin Joseph Lachausse is a writer from Southeast Texas whose work focuses on psychological tension, atmosphere, and the emotional complexity of human nature.

Before turning to fiction, he spent years working in ministry, cemeteries, and funeral service—experiences that gave him a unique perspective on grief, loss, and the quiet moments that shape people during life’s most difficult seasons.

Influenced by character-driven storytelling and slow-burn suspense, Kevin currently writes grounded fiction that explores fear, morality, isolation, and the choices people make under pressure.

While The Funeral Director marks his debut novel and the beginning of a planned psychological thriller series, his interests as a writer extend across multiple genres and styles of storytelling.

He currently lives in Washington, where he continues working in ministry, funeral service, and developing fiction centered on emotionally driven narratives, layered characters, and immersive atmosphere.
